Custom built strain gages

We are accepting requirements for the production of custom built strain gages in accordance with the specifications our customers are raising from time to time. Various strain gages listed in the table are based on the fundamental patterns in accordance with the purpose of applications. Many versions or variants are derived from these fundamental patterns. Especially, strain gages with leadout wires are standardized in accordance with numerous requirements from customers. One of which is described hereunder as an example. Regarding the strain gage patterns, we are able to produce, in addition to the ordinary standard gage patterns, many gage patterns for the use to special applications or the gages to be used as the sensors for load cells or other transducers. Feel free to contact us any time with special requirements, if any.

Example of a strain gage with the full bridge pattern

The 350 ohms full bridge gage does not require a wiring inside the strain gage bridge. It is excellent in stability and is of a high sensitivity. It enables an efficient measurement of axial force, bending, torque and so on.

Definition of custom bilt strain gages

  1. Change of specifications of leadwires to be combined to strain gages basing on the standard strain gage patterns. For example, strain gage leadwires (lengths), vinyl leadwires (kinds, lengths, etc.), and so on.
  2. Development of new strain gage patterns. Users are requested to forward proposals on purposes of use and on the desired strain gage pattern layout (outlined). The specifications for the production are to be drawn out at the side of the manufacturer in accordance with the proposals forwarded from the users.
  3. Strain gages for use in transducers: These strain gages are mainly for use in high accuracy load cells for the purpose of overcoming creeping behaviors of load cells.
  4. Others: Feel to contact us with further proposals, if any.

Strain gage applied sensors are not only used in stress or strain measurement but in enlarged applications, by changing metallic foil materials, in the production of the special strain gages for crack propagation measurement, or for measurement of strains in hollow subtances (called PIPE GAGES). We hope our above information may be of help to the users in the development of new detection method by means of various custom built strain gages offered from us.
